Hot Spinach Dip

Here's a little something to whip up for those holiday guests dropping by. Very easy to make.

HOT SPINACH DIP

4 10 oz. box frozen chopped spinach

2 cups Monterey Jack cheese

4 8.oz packages cream cheese

1 cup fresh chopped onions

1 cup fresh chopped tomatoes

1/2 cup chopped hot peppers

Combine ingredients. Bake for 40 minutes at 375 degrees. Serve with toasted pita chips.

This morning my sister, Marcy, and I went to help our church's Resale Shop get ready for our Christmas sale tomorrow. We have a lot of nice things donated to the shop which we sell very, very low. Plus if someone needs anything that we have in stock we just give it to them. The money made in the store goes to help those in our parish, or even elsewhere, needing assistance of any kind. I am going to go to bed earlier than usual tonight because I have to be there at 7:30 in the morning. Chris will be going to help tomorrow, too. It's fun and for a great cause.

I finally started my Christmas shopping today and did it at http://www.luckfamilygifts.com/. I ordered some great gifts (okay, stuff for me, too) at fantastic prices. When you go to the site request that a catalog be sent to you. I ordered quite a bit from the online catalog and, also, stuff from the print catalog. There are some really nice things there. Anyhow, it is off to bed now. Have a restful night's sleep.

ABOUT US

Chris and I became friends over 20 years ago when we were neighbors in the Philippines. We were living there with our families because of our husbands' jobs with Westinghouse. In fact, we were next door neighbors on the compound that we lived in. After returning Stateside, we were lucky enough to have Westinghouse assign our husbands to the same work site. Our husbands are good friends, also. We enjoy each other and feel fortunate to be blessed with such good, loving friends in our lives.

We cannot take credit for the helpful hints, tips or recipes that we put in. These are an accumulation of ones that we have collected over the years and still collect. We won't mind if someone needs a hint or recipe that we haven't posted yet and they want us to try to find it for them. In fact, we would like the challenge!

Chris and I have always loved to collect cookbooks, recipes and hints. You would not believe the number of books and newspaper and magazine clippings that we have. Plus, Dennis, Chris's husband, loves to cook and has some to add to the mix. I know there are those of you out there that have the same sort of collection. I was getting ready to get rid of some unneeded things I have around here and get ready for my huge annual Thanksgiving event. I thought I would share this with "the world" and Chris feels the same way. (Her and I are so much alike, it's scarey sometimes. To our husbands, that is!) Plus both of us are Taurus! Chris might even have some decorating tips for you because she is great at that. That is something that just doesn't come to me and I turn to her.
