WE ALL NEED EXTRA MONEY!!

Hi, there, all!! Long time, no write, huh? Sorry, but, my life has been hectic. But, then again isn't everyone's? However, Bill, my sister, Marcy, and I volunteer at The Benefit Bank and that took up a bit of extra time around Christmas. It's great helping out, though, and I love it. Bill and I, also, now take care of the Resale Shop that our church runs. The money raised is used to help the needy in the parish and surrounding communities. We get great donations of anything and everything and sell it all at a very, very reasonable price. However, those that are in need don't have to pay for anything.

But, I digress. I wanted to mention that we went to FL to visit our daughter, Jackee, and her two kids over the holiday. She turned us on to this great company, MPB Today, that she is involved in and we joined. I posted her blog info and all the info on the company can be found there. My favorite income from it is the $200 WalMart gift card that you can get over and over again! I think everywhere I have traveled just about, I have visited a WalMart there. Now I am going to clean the kitchen and get ready to watch NCIS and then go to bed. Tomorrow morning is one of the days we volunteer at the Benefit Bank. Have a great, peaceful sleep tonight. God bless.

ABOUT US

Chris and I became friends over 20 years ago when we were neighbors in the Philippines. We were living there with our families because of our husbands' jobs with Westinghouse. In fact, we were next door neighbors on the compound that we lived in. After returning Stateside, we were lucky enough to have Westinghouse assign our husbands to the same work site. Our husbands are good friends, also. We enjoy each other and feel fortunate to be blessed with such good, loving friends in our lives.

We cannot take credit for the helpful hints, tips or recipes that we put in. These are an accumulation of ones that we have collected over the years and still collect. We won't mind if someone needs a hint or recipe that we haven't posted yet and they want us to try to find it for them. In fact, we would like the challenge!

Chris and I have always loved to collect cookbooks, recipes and hints. You would not believe the number of books and newspaper and magazine clippings that we have. Plus, Dennis, Chris's husband, loves to cook and has some to add to the mix. I know there are those of you out there that have the same sort of collection. I was getting ready to get rid of some unneeded things I have around here and get ready for my huge annual Thanksgiving event. I thought I would share this with "the world" and Chris feels the same way. (Her and I are so much alike, it's scarey sometimes. To our husbands, that is!) Plus both of us are Taurus! Chris might even have some decorating tips for you because she is great at that. That is something that just doesn't come to me and I turn to her.
